PART A: REVIEW BASIC EXCEL SKILLS

PART B: BASIC FORMULAS & FORMATTING:

  1. Cell Alignment: Horizontal, Vertical, Orientation & Text Control.
  2. Fonts, Autofill & Borders.
  3. Insert Commands: Rows, Columns, & Sheets.
  4. Cut & Paste.
  5. Headers [Title Of Document].
  6. Footers [Youth�s First & Last Name, File Name, Committee Name, Date, Page #].
  7. Row & Column Headers.
  8. Column Widths.
  9. Row Heights: Using Mouse & Format Menu.
  10. Inserting a graphic or picture

Part C: Type in your Mission Statement

  1. Why are you building a robotic space probe using complex machines? Type a few sentences in rows 2 & 3 of your spreadsheet.

  2. Choose an appropriate clip-art picture to place in your spreadsheet and insert it into your Mission Statement.

  3. Save your spreadsheet as "YOUR NAME MISSION-STATEMENT" on your NETWORK DRIVE in your folder or on your local "MY DOCUMENTS" folder.

Part D: Continue filling in your Simple Machines Comparison Excel Spreadsheet.

  •  When you finished filling in the Planetary Comparison Table or your instructor tells that time is up, make sure you SAVE the WORD DOCUMENT AGAIN!
  Remember to ALWAYS: 

I) Check Spelling & Grammar,
(II) Use Headers & Footers,
& (III) Save Your Work In The Proper Network Server Basic Machines Folder.
